Our client is looking for a Grid Compliance Engineer and this position will be based in the Nordic Region.
This role will support the electrical engineering team in discussions with clients and grid operators. Also being a liaison between this individual’s field, local organisations and our client’s headquarters in Hamburg.
The main target countries are Finland, Sweden and Norway, so some travelling is required.
This role will sit within the Project Management Department and key tasks will include the ability to analyse and evaluate Grid Code requirements and standards as well as quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine and component levels.
This person will work closely together with the software team to specify Grid Code requirements for the software developers as well as support the Grid Code compliance and Grid connection within Sales and Project phase.
This individual will possess an M.Sc. or a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems and have excellent experience of Grid Code requirements for Finland, Sweden and Norway.
This person will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and basic knowledge about PSSE and/or PSCAD models and what can be achieved with them. Programming experience in Python or similar supporting test analysis and automatization is required, along with fluent English spoken and written. Base-level Finnish and/or Swedish is also required.
